A Zambian-incorporated Independent Power Producer combining engineering expertise, governance credibility, and a strong commitment to sustainability.
Yala Energy Limited is a Zambian-incorporated private company limited by shares, established on 9 June 2026 under the Companies Act of Zambia. The company was formed to spearhead renewable energy generation projects that contribute to Zambia's long-term energy security, diversification, and sustainable development.
The company is headquartered in Lusaka, with its registered office in Chibombo District, Central Province, and was incorporated with the express mandate to develop, own, and operate renewable energy projects, beginning with the Muchenje Solar PV Plant.
Yala Energy Limited is wholly owned by Zambian promoters but is actively seeking an equity partner to strengthen its capital base, enhance technical capacity, and accelerate project delivery — reflecting international best practice for renewable energy IPPs and ensuring bankability and long-term sustainability.
To become a leading Zambian IPP delivering sustainable energy solutions that power communities, industries, and national development.
To generate reliable, affordable, and clean electricity that strengthens energy security, supports socio-economic growth, and contributes to climate resilience.
Governance and compliance are central to our operating philosophy — international ESG standards, transparent reporting, and responsible community engagement.
Our promoters bring decades of experience in energy, risk management, insurance structuring, and corporate governance to every project we deliver.
The promoters combine deep technical engineering expertise with financial structuring, risk management, and governance authority.
